The Contractor shall provide pavement striping, roadway markings, and curb painting services along all arterials within the City of Norwalk. The work is intended to enhance roadway visibility, promote traffic safety, and ensure compliance with state and local standards. Services include removal and surface preparation of existing striping or pavement markings as applicable, installation of reflective pavement markers, and temporary traffic control and signage pursuant to the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The Contractor is responsible for mobilization, staging, site cleanup, and debris removal upon completion of each work segment. All work must comply with Caltrans Standard Specifications, applicable City standards, the CA MUTCD, Standard Specifications and Plans for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook, and all relevant regulations. The contract duration is three years, with up to three optional one-year extensions at the City’s discretion. Additive items may be requested on an as-needed basis for additional striping, marking, and/or painting at various City locations and will be performed only with written authorization from the City Engineer.
