Renovation of a fire / police facility in Farmington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.

** As of January 29, 2026 project is not yet awarded.*** The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to supply and install a new standby emergency power system at the Farmington Police Station. This includes an automatic transfer switch, a manual transfer switch, and a new standby generator assembly. The existing generator is to remain and be integrated into the overall emergency power system. Additive Alternate No. 1 includes installation of a precast concrete above-ground fuel storage tank and associated fuel piping for interconnection into the existing generator. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond, treasurer's check, or cashier's check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bidder's bid. Any addendum acknowledgment must also be submitted with the bid. Bidders must obtain bid documents directly from the Town of Farmington or CT Source to be eligible. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder. The contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires that a minimum of 25% of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for subcontractors holding current certification as Small Business Enterprises (SBE), and a minimum of 6.25% be set aside for subcontractors certified as Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned businesses (M/W/DisBE). The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the set-aside goals.
