Demolition for a residential development in Freeport, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade residential development.
Bid# CD-016-2025 is for demolition and asbestos abatement services of designated residential properties at the following addresses: 225 N Wilbur Avenue, 31 S Hooker Avenue, 37 S Mary Avenue, and 78 S Hancock Avenue. Prevailing wage applies, and certified payrolls are required. A Bid Security Bond of 5% of Base Bid (or acceptable alternative) is mandatory. Demolition permit applications must be submitted within 7 days of award notice. Demolition, asbestos abatement, and site restoration must be completed by December 22, 2025, unless an extension is granted. Contractors must be registered with the City of Freeport before bid opening. Bids must be sealed and properly marked, and submitted by 9:00 AM on Friday, December 12, 2025, to the Office of City Clerk. The demolition site must be secured by a minimum 4' high chain link fence until it is rough graded.
