Renovation of an educational facility in Mitchell, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Formal bids are requested for the Brownfields Cleanup, Asbestos Abatement at the Former Mitchell High School Building, 920 N. Capital St, Mitchell, SD. The project consists of asbestos abatement in the building, where asbestos containing materials (greater than 1%) are present. Bidders will be required to comply with 40 CFR 33. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Asbestos Abatement, Former Mitchell High School Building" with the date and time of letting, and filed with Mitchell School District 17-2. Each bid of $100,000.00 or higher must include a certified check or bank draft equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid, with surety authorized in South Dakota. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and make awards as deemed to be in its best interest. Any person who plans to bid on the project may submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation of any part of the Plans and Specifications or Contract Documents.
