This contract requires the contractor to provide toilet pumping services at 13 locations across the Mt. Pinos Ranger District. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to pump Forest Service-owned campground and trailhead toilets. Vehicles must be capable of operating in 4WD conditions, as access involves navigating Forest Service dirt roads, winding mountain roads, and areas with limited or no cell service. Conditions may include ice, snow, and rain, and seasonal gate closures can occur between November 1 and April 30. The contractor must notify the district point of contact before servicing facilities due to changing road conditions. Vault and septic tank pumping duties include pumping vault toilets down to within 2-4 inches of the bottom, without compacting waste. For interior pumping, precautions must be taken to prevent damage and spillage, and all contaminated surfaces must be cleaned and disinfected. Interior walls must be pressure washed before debris dries, and solids diluted and pumped again to within 3-4 inches of the bottom. All waste, trash, and debris must be removed and disposed of off National Forest land in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws. Trucks and equipment cannot be rinsed on National Forest land, and any septic release must be reported immediately. The contractor must complete task orders documenting gallons removed. Pumping CXT vault toilets includes removing all contents, including solids, liquids, trash, and heavy materials, with proper disposal by the contractor. Location: Mt.
