Renovation of a recreation facility in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,288-square-foot, one-story above grade recreation facility.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the work described, including demolishing the existing giraffe feeding platform and constructing a new feeding platform in accordance with the plans and specifications at Zoo Miami. The contractor shall also demolish and replace holding pens as specified. All work must be phased as directed to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Contractors are responsible for obtaining all required permits before commencing work. The full scope is defined in the contract documents. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and complete an on-site inspection. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the proposed bid amount. If awarded, a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract award amount is required. The contractor or subcontractor must have completed at least two projects of similar size and scope, preferably with experience in zoological or theme park settings. Bid documents must be requested directly from the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department.
