This project includes the installation of approximately 690 linear feet of proposed ductile iron water mains along Howard Boulevard from Stierli Court to the entrance of 172 Howard Boulevard in Mount Arlington Borough. The scope of work includes various improvements of water mains through the construction of new 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe Class 52 Potable Water Mains along with fittings, service connections, and components. The new water main system shall connect to the existing infrastructure within Mount Arlington Borough, and includes a tie-in connection to the existing 8-inch DI pipe using the necessary adaptors for a watertight connection. The contractor is responsible for all material and labor for installation and testing as specified. Site work includes traffic control devices, soil erosion and sediment control measures, excavation, restoration of asphalt pavement, driveway restorations, curb restoration, and landscape restorations. The contract allows 100 calendar days for completion from the notice to proceed. Bidders must register as plan holders and download the bidding documents. Bids must be submitted on specified forms and accompanied by a bid security of ten percent of the bid amount, not exceeding $20,000. Bidders must comply with NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27. Only registered bidders may submit, and all requirements fully detailed in the bid documents must be met. Questions must be submitted through the designated project website. All addenda issued will become part of the contract documents. The authority reserves the right to reject proposals that deviate from requirements or waive immaterial irregularities.
