prepare and implement a water pollution control plan; traffic control, temporary traffic signage and temporary delineation; removal and proper disposal of existing striping lines, legends and markers; removal of vegetation around existing striping and around curb painting; temporary layout, spotting and tracking; protection of utilities boxes and valves within the limits of re-painting; installation of new traffic thermoplastic striping lines, legends, and reflective markers; curb painting and all other miscellaneous work as shown on the Plans and as described in the Specifications to provide a complete project. Bidder's attention is directed to requirements in Sections 2 and 3 of the Standard Specifications General Provisions. All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by a corporate surety insurer. The bidder's guarantee shall be in the amount equal to at least ten (10) percent of the total bid and shall be made payable to the City of Lafayette. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The City of Lafayette reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The City has ascertained the General Prevailing Rates of Wages applicable to this work, and these rates are on file at the City offices. Time of completion allowed for this project will be thirty-five (35) working days. Bidder's attention is directed to the order of work stated in Section 5 of the Special Provisions. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 90 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
