Renovation of an educational facility in Roseville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The work includes removal of existing roofing systems and sheet metal trims/flashings and installation of new single ply roofing systems and associated sheet metal. All work must comply with applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the "Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act)". Bidders must submit a notarized certification with their bid stating that they are not barred from bidding due to a violation of Sections 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to 5% of the Base Bid, payable to the Board of Education. The successful bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the contract cost, using prescribed forms, within 10 days after acceptance. Bonds must be issued by a U.S. Treasury-backed company licensed in Illinois. The contractor is to pay for bond premiums. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening.
