The Village is seeking proposals from qualified design firms for engineering design and bidding services for a municipal wastewater treatment facility. The Village desires to select one firm or team whose capabilities and experience meet the needs of the Village. The intended outcome is to develop and award a contract for services identified for the proposed wastewater treatment facility. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed package. Each proposer must provide their bid as indicated in the specifications of the RFP and include all supporting documents. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bidding. The Village Board will make the final award of the proposal. The successful bidder and the Village will execute a contract mutually agreeable to both parties within 14 days from the award of the proposal. Successful bidders must provide proper insurance acceptable to the Village. WWTF layout and design shall consider elements necessary for a future average design flow of 0.5 MGD (Phase 2). WWTF shall include: o Screening structure o Biological Treatment System o Sludge Holding Tanks o Tertiary Filtration o UV Disinfection System o Building to house laboratory, electrical room, and blowers o Emergency generator o Access road and facility parking o Gravity sewer outfall into Fiddyment Creek o Stormwater/Wetland Detention Pond and landscape screening o Potable well for water supply to the wastewater treatment plant, building and laboratory.
