The successful Bidder (Contractor) shall provide all effort and materials necessary to provide for solid waste collection and disposal services to designated facilities operated by the City of Virginia Beach (CVB). Work shall be performed on a regular schedule and/or on an as needed basis as specified, and must include, but not be limited to, the provision of bulk containers, servicing of containers, and disposal of the material. Specific Requirements: 1. Collection Servicestypes shall include: i. Front load service for 8, 6,and 4 cubic yard (CY) containers ii. Roll Offservice for20, 30, and 40 CY containers iii. Compactor Service forboth City-owned and contractor provided compactors iv. 96-gallon carts 2. Service schedule i. Attachment H provides the current list of the City service sites, quantity, size, and type of containers as well as the frequency of collections. Service needs are subject to change. ii. The City reserves the right to delete and add facilities, delete and add the number of containers located at each facility, and adjust the frequency of collections at each facility, and modify the services provided as it deems necessary. iii. Contractor shall service all locations on a regularly scheduled basis as designated by the City. Any container not emptied on schedule by the Contractor, for any reason, shall be emptied the day the Contractor is made aware of the situation when contacted prior to noon of that day. If the Contractor is made aware of the situation after noon, the containershall be emptied by noon the following day. City inspections will determine whether the Contractor has fulfilled its obligations. Containers not emptied within the above time frame will result in a reduction from the invoice of $100per container per day. iv. Containers shall be emptied by the Contractor up to seven days per week, including holidays, as designated by the City. v. All containers sharing a common boundary with residential areas shall be emptied after 7:00 a.m. Contractor shall provide roll off service for up to 12 loads per each 12-month term of the contract free of charge for special programs. Use of the containers will be administered by the C i t y ' s Waste Management Division to support special programs conducted by the Community or the City. Containers provided shall be either 20 or 30 cubic yard roll-off containers as specified by the City. Services shall include solid waste containers,collection, anddisposalservices.
