The work involves providing comprehensive pharmacy clean room and hood testing and certification services for the St. Cloud VA Health Care System to ensure compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards. The contractor shall perform semi-annual certification of primary and secondary engineering controls (PECs and SECs), including Class II Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs), Vertical Laminar Airflow Workbenches (LAFWs), and cleanroom suites. Services include nonviable and viable particle testing, airflow smoke pattern testing with video, pressure differential measurements, air changes per hour calculations, HEPA filter integrity testing, and hazardous drug wipe sampling. The contractor must also supply surface sample plates for monthly viable surface sampling and provide incubation and reporting for gloved fingertip tests (GFT), media fill tests (MFT), and surface samples associated with employee aseptic technique training. Additional tasks include consulting on USP <797>/<800> compliance, providing environmental sampling kits, and ensuring all testing is conducted under dynamic operating conditions using ISO/IEC 17025-certified laboratories. Reports must detail pass/fail results, room sketches, environmental conditions, and microbial identification when action levels are exceeded. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, calibrated equipment, and maintain strict infection control and safety protocols. Services must be coordinated to minimize disruption to pharmacy operations, with the first certification scheduled for February 2-3, 2026. The contract includes a base year and four option years, with semi-annual certifications and additional testing as required.
