The project involves construction services to repair Building 50 basement kitchen at the Saint Cloud VA Health Care System. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to remodel the existing dish room and tray service line. Work will address failing architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and HVAC systems that are at the end of their service life. Walls, ceilings, and flooring finishes that are separating from the substrate and beyond maintenance repair will be replaced. The project includes phased implementation in two or fewer phases, impacting approximately 4,000 square feet of remodeled space for Nutrition and Foods and 2,000 square feet of common areas such as mechanical rooms and phasing space. Site preparation for new kitchen equipment will be incorporated as evaluated by the A/E of record in the contract drawings. Construction phasing plans must minimize disruption to ongoing operations in the occupied kitchen and dish room. All work shall comply with the Contracting Documents, Scope of Work, NFPA standards, local building codes, VA facility standards, and other applicable requirements.
