Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in New Milford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade clubhouse / community center.
The Town of New Milford is soliciting competitive bids from qualified firms for floor renovation services. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids in part or in whole Senior Center Floor Renovation Invitation to Bid Public Works The Town is requiring the following: A. Supply and install, 2,800 s.f. of "LVP" (Luxury Vinyl Planking), Stonehaven Maple - VV800-03024, with a "SPC" (Solid Core) and Cork underlayment from "Coretec". (See Section 8 - Attachments for product specifications). B. Expansion joints will be replaced with "INPRO 104 Series Concrete Floor Expansion Joint Cover" with color to coincide with flooring. C. Recommended Adhesive: Utilize a premium multi-purpose adhesive or Coretec Cork Underlayment Adhesive. Ensuring the adhesive is compatible with Luxury Vinyl Flooring and follow the manufacturer's instructions for application. Must have Low "VOC" emissions. No more than 50 G/L VOC Content. (See Section 8 - Attachments for product specifications). D. Supply and Install "Shoe Molding" to match color of the baseboard. E. Supply and Install Threshold/Transition piece's where needed to match flooring. 4.4. Additional Requirements A. All saw cutting of any kind will be done outside of the building. Location of the outside work area will need to be approved by the Facilities Lead Technician or designee prior to commencement of work. B. Work site will be organized and cleaned up at the end of the working day. C. All Debris genereated shall be disposed of in a dumpster provided by the contractor. Location of the dumpster will need to be approved by the Facilities Lead Technician or designee prior to the commencement of work. D. All furniture and appliances will be moved by the Facility Maintenance Department. Specifications and bid forms must be obtained online through OpenGov Procurement. The exclusive means by which all prospective bidders may obtain bid packages, direct inquiries, request and receive addenda and supplemental information, and submit bids and proposals, shall be through the Town of New Milfords procurement portal. When applicable, state bids will be considered for this service. The Purchasing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. In addition to the bid specifications, all bids are subject to the terms, provisions and conditions of the New Milford Municipal Purchases Ordinance, set forth in Article III, Section 2-92 (a) through (o) inclusive, of the Code of New Milford. By bidding on the proposed purchase, the bidder agrees to such terms, provisions and conditions Question Deadline 12/26/2025 at 8:00 AM PT DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: All questions related to this ITB shall be submitted in writing through the Question/Answer Tab via the Town's procurement portal, When asking questions, please be sure to enter each question separately (1 question per box). The Senior Center proposed floor plan for the new flooring consists of three rooms, The Dining Room, the Kitchen Area and the Grand Room. The Dining Room and Kitchen Area, which is part of the original building, has traditional wood sub-structure with VCT flooring. The Grand Room is built on a cement slab with VCT flooring as the finished floor. The Grand Room and Dining Room are seperated by an expansion joint. Existing VCT will remain due to abestos findings. The flooring installation project will start in the Kitchen, proceed out into the Dining Room and conclude in the Grand Room. This schedule will allow the Senior Center to still be able to operate in one room and rotate to the next upon completion.
