The work will be done under one prime contract that includes general construction. The scope of work includes preparing storm sewer segments for lining with a Cure in Place Liner (CIPL), which involves cleaning segments for proper bonding, diversion of storm water as needed, removal of the backflow valve, and other preparation tasks. The project also involves lining approximately 550 feet of storm sewer main line with CIPL, opening the liner for lateral intakes, sealing ends and cutouts, conducting post-installation video inspection to verify completion and sealing, and handling and disposal of fluid sediment waste (considered petroleum contaminated) generated during cleaning and lining. The solicitation includes required insurance per project specifications and scope of work. Bidders are highly encouraged to review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements and AIA A201, Article 11. Qualification requirements apply: the responding company must have completed as a Prime Contractor at least two contracts of similar scope and value ($500,000 or greater each) since September 2022, or the Project Manager may provide up to two qualifying projects from previous employers with similar requirements. The Project Manager and Job Superintendent each must have at least five years of experience with similar projects valued at $200,000 or greater. There is a 4% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses subcontracting goal, but meeting this will not affect the lowest responsible Prime Contractor determination.
