Remodeling of a communication facility in Northville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade communication facility.

The work includes providing all network equipment, stacking modules, stacking cables, power supplies and cables, materials, parts, miscellaneous equipment, and labor for a complete and satisfactory operating system. The proposed equipment line shall have a consistent architecture to reduce total cost of ownership for on-going support, maintenance, and training. Systems must comply with the recommendations of the equipment manufacturers, the requirements of the specifications and drawings, and all current codes and standards. The network switch infrastructure shall provide access to the Internet, streaming video, voice over wireless, centralized databases, software, and files for students, teachers, administrators, staff, and the community, and must adhere to Ethernet standards. Network management software shall be supplied to monitor network hardware and send alerts via email. The contractor must also remove all existing network equipment being replaced and provide certificates of proper recycling or disposal, ensure the installation is neat and workmanlike, and allocate time for training owner personnel. The contractor must be a manufacturer-authorized reseller and certified to design, configure, and deploy the proposed systems, with a minimum of five years of experience in similar applications. All work must be coordinated with related trades and scheduled to avoid disruption to the owner's operations, with cleanup and repairs as needed to restore work areas to original condition. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any equipment or bids, and to select the bid that is in the best interest of the owner. All base bids must conform to the specifications, with any alternatives clearly identified and justified. Bidders must submit required forms, bid bond, disclosure statements, a detailed bill of materials, catalog cut sheets, a cover letter, references, warranty information, system operations description, company and subcontractor information, and a proposed schedule. Failure to comply with all requirements may result in rejection of the proposal.
