Renovation of an educational facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.
The project involves roof, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work at Funston Elementary School and McAuliffe Elementary School. Bids must be submitted electronically and require a 5% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bond for the base contract price. Contractors must use the forms issued as part of the bidding documents. Bidding contractors are required to obtain bidding documents from the Architect of Record. Printed copies are not provided by the architect and must be made by the contractor from the electronic files if needed. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. This contract is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the General Contracting Services Agreement between the Board and General Contractor under Board report 21-1117-PR5 and related renewals and supplements. Question Deadline 01/13/2026 Any question or doubt as to the true meaning and intent of the Drawings or Specifications must be referred to the Architect/Engineer of Record for response. Oral responses by the Architect/Engineer of Record or Board's Representative are not binding on the Board. All Contractor Requests for Clarifications shall be issued to the Architect of Record by no later than five (5) working days before the Bid due date.
