The Madison County Sheriff's Office requests proposals for the construction of a metal-type kitchen facility at the Madison County Sheriff's Office Penal Farm, located at 1524 Westover Rd, Jackson, TN, 38301. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bid number marked in the lower left-hand corner, including one original and two hard copies. Bidders are required to comply with the General Licensing Act of 1976, Tennessee House Bill No. 2180, and T.C.A. Title 62, Chapter 6 of 1994. If the bid meets or exceeds $25,000, bidders must show their Tennessee State Contractor's license number, classification, and expiration date on the envelope, and submit a five percent bond with the bid. HVAC, electrical, or plumbing subcontractors must also be listed by name, license number, classification, and expiration date if their work exceeds $25,000. Proof of general liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000 naming Madison County Government as additional insured, as well as workers compensation insurance at statutory limits or higher, is required. Business license requirements apply based on the location of the business and bid amount. The successful bidder for bids meeting or exceeding $25,000 must provide a payment/performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum before a purchase order is generated. Compliance with Tennessee Right to Work Law and, when applicable, prevailing wage statutes is required. Final payment will not be made until the project is 100% complete and all contract conditions are met.
