The project is for prime construction services for the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab, located at 4200 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, Texas 79109. The scope includes providing all materials, equipment, labor, coordination, and supervisory activities necessary to complete construction as described in the project manual and drawings prepared by the A/E of record. Work categories include portable toilets, temporary fencing, scaffolding, site work and clean-up, door and siding installation and repair, general construction (backfill, digging, ditching, grading), excavation, carpentry, concrete, electrical, metalwork, roofing and siding, structural steel, welding, hauling services, pre-fabricated building elements, and rental or lease of scaffolding and ladders. The estimated construction budget is three million dollars. Construction is to commence within fourteen calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued, with a projected contract period of seven hundred thirty calendar days, unless amended or negotiated.
