General Scope: Generator Concrete Foundation Installation Furnish & Install Generator with Automatic Transfer Switch Connect Generator to Fuel Source Complete Electrical Connections & Testing Questions Due for Bid January 01, 2026 : Formal questions for bid shall be directed to the Parish Administrator in written form and emailed to: ben@jdppj.net. Responses to formal inquiries and/or addenda(s) will be published on online by the date and time listed on the Bid Schedule and will be considered part of the original bid. Furnish, Install, and test 150 KW generator including concrete pad for generator and all associated electrical and plumbing. Finished product shall provide standby power to Health Unit at 403 Baker Street, Jennings LA 70546, during utility power outages and will perform weekly loaded exercises. GENERATOR CONCRETE FOUNDATION Furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to install generator concrete slab with the following specifications: o Foundation shall be installed at the location shown on plan set. o Foundation shall be 12 feet long (ft) x 6 ft wide x 8 inches (in) thick. o Foundation shall have 12 in wide x 18 in thick (total) footing around perimeter of concrete slab. o Slab shall be partially buried to match finished elevation of adjacent concrete sidewalk. o Concrete slab shall be reinforced with #4 rebar placed in a 12 in on-center grid in both directions. Support said rebar mat with non-corrosive chairs at the mid-slab thickness. Rebar shall be secured to ensure it remains at mid-slab elevation and specified grid spacing during placement of concrete. o Rebar parallel to concrete edge shall be no closer than 3 inches. Rebar perpendicular to concrete edge shall end 2 inches from concrete edge. o Concrete shall have a 7-day compressive strength of 3,500 PSI, mix design shall be submitted 10 days prior to slab pour. o Concrete cylinders will not be required for testing. o Slab form must be approved by JDPPJ personnel before pouring STANDBY GENERATOR Furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to install 150KW generator with the following specifications (all components 100% Duty Cycle): o 150 KW 120/208 Volts, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 60 Hertz, o Natural Gas Engine, 1800 RPM, Water Cooled o UL Listed Components o All fluids and 1 set of extra filters o Includes battery(s) & standby trickle charge o Main Disconnect rated at 400 amps o Engine Block Heater o Remote Status Pannel indicating: Normal Status, Alarm/Pre alarm Conditions, & Alarm Silence Button. o Weatherproof Enclosure with Level 3 Sound Attenuation o 2 Year Parts and Labor Warranty o Generator shall be anchored to concrete foundation o Exhaust shall be directed east away from Health Unit o Natural Gas Fuel line shall be ran from generator to stub out provided by JDPPJ. AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH Furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to install Service Entrance Rated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), and all other necessary electrical components necessary for the operation of the project standby generator with the following specifications (all components 100% Duty Cycle): o 3R rated enclosure, 400 Amp, 4 pole o UL Listed Programable exerciser, HMI/Display & Event Log o 2 Year Parts and Labor Warranty o Direct conduit runs from generator to ATS shall be run underground and can be rigid PVC. All other conduit runs shall be rigid metallic. o All wire shall be copper o ATS shall be installed at the location shown on plan set. SIDEWALK COCRETE REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT Any removal of existing concrete sidewalk (and replacement) to install electrical conduit must be done at no cost to the Owner. Concrete to be removed must be saw cut to the nearest existing joint/score. Replacement concrete shall be 6 inches thick on compacted material and with a 6 gauge rewire mat supported at the mid thickness of the slab. The concrete shall be the same mix and strength noted for the generator foundation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Remote Status panel shall be installed in mechanical room on the interior side of the wall in which the ATS is to be located.
