The proposed work includes the installation of new fiber optic infrastructure for the City of Hudson, Ohio. This includes approximately 20,000 lineal feet of 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit via horizontal directional drilling, 22,600 lineal feet of 2 x 1.5-inch underground HDPE fiber conduit (2 parallel conduit runs pulled together) via horizontal directional drilling, 7,050 lineal feet of new aerial fiber, approximately 72,300 lineal feet of fiber optic cable (various strand count), the placement of underground fiber vaults and handholes, and the subsequent fiber optic cable installation. Bidders are required to provide a price for Labor Only as well as an alternate bid for Labor and Material. The project shall be in accordance with the specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Hudson. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonconformities not involving price, time, or changes in the work. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing through the Bid Express website.
