The project consists of providing all required materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete the construction of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Sidewalk and Stormwater Improvements along McAliley Street, Chester County Courthouse, Chester County, South Carolina. Generally, the work includes the construction of approximately 280 square yards of 4-foot-wide concrete pedestrian sidewalk and ramp, parking lot, asphalt paving, storm drainage upgrades, associated earthwork, less than 1 acre of grassing, and all associated signage and thermoplastic striping. Specific project details are included in the Construction Plans and Technical Specifications. Bidders must deposit security with all bids in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law, with a Group Limitation of Group 2 or above. Each bidder is required to fully acquaint themselves with the conditions and restrictions of the work, and failure to do so does not relieve them of any obligation. All amendments or interpretations will be issued in writing. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, reject any or all bids, and determine whether bids meet all requirements. All bids become the property of Chester County.
