Renovation of an educational facility in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bids are invited for five separate prime contracts: GENERAL TRADES Contract #301, MECHANICAL (HVAC) Contract #302, PLUMBING Contract #303, ELECTRICAL Contract #304, and SITEWORK Contract #305, for the 2024 Capital Facilities Improvement Project at Council Rock Primary School. Bidders must make a deposit for the Bidding Documents, submit a proposal with a certified check or other security as specified, and may obtain a refund upon timely return of the documents in good condition. Shipping costs for documents are borne by the bidder. Plans and specifications are available at several locations. A pre-bid conference will be conducted to provide information about the project and its requirements, followed by an optional building walk-through. It is strongly recommended that all interested bidders attend. Bidders must observe the Owner's sales tax exemption, comply with employment conditions and minimum wage rates, and meet detailed qualification requirements, including bonding, insurance, financial statements, bank references, litigation history, surety's intent to issue bonds, and descriptions of similar completed projects. Bids must be prepared and submitted according to the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS," including a security deposit of at least 5% of the base bid. Bids must be sealed, labeled, and cannot be withdrawn within forty-five days of opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids, and may disqualify bidders for material non-compliance with instructions.
