**As of February 4th, this project was awarded to M & E Construction Company, LLC for $1,516,974.** The work consists of providing and replacing 2,080 Water Meters and all related appurtenances. Question Deadline 01/06/2026 All questions regarding the project and bid documents must be submitted electronically to the Engineer's office. Contractors should send their questions in writing to Ben Hefner at bhefner@dccm.com. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified cashier's check, the value of which should not be less than five percent (5%) of the overall bid amount. All bonds must be countersigned by a Georgia Resident Agent and should be submitted with a corresponding "Power of Attorney." The successful bidder is required to provide both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded Contract amount.3 Project will receive partial funding from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority. Therefore, the project is subject to the Federal and State laws and regulations associated with those programs. The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as "utility contracting" in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a "Utility Contractor" and must also employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder who will have oversight of all the work. Contractor submitting a bid must list the license number of the Contractor performing the utility contracting on the Bid form and provide proof of a valid license.
