Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Bradenton, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The scope includes the design, permitting, land acquisition, project management, and construction of a new bridge on 26th Ave E over Sugarhouse Creek. The new bridge will be approximately 20 ft. long x 49 ft. wide to accommodate sidewalks. It is anticipated that the new bridge will be built with a full road closure. Due to flood history, it is anticipated that the new bridge and approaches will be raised to provide adequate freeboard and roadway serviceability. The project will meet current County Standards while minimizing the project length and impacts to adjacent properties. No anticipated land acquisition. The project is included in the County's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
