Site work for a municipal facility in Memphis, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The Contractor shall furnish all work including supervision, equipment, transportation, materials, labor, and tools to install drilled pier foundations that are too large for in-house crews to install, which also includes tying of rebar, drilling, installation of anchor bolts, if needed, and placement of concrete pier foundations on an as needed basis in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. All Sealed Bids, Bid Bond, Bidder's Qualifications, and completed Bid Envelopes, in duplicate, must be received by the Contracts Management Office no later than 4:00 PM CDT/ CST on the specified bid date via hand-delivery or mailed to MLGW's Administration Building. Bids received after the bid due date will not be accepted. Electronic submissions will not be accepted. Only hard copies of the bid documents will be accepted. The Bidder's Qualifications must be submitted by reference letter as listed in the Bidder's Qualifications and must indicate the Contract Number and title. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated, and provide the required information on the outside of the Bidder's Envelope. The Contractor's license monetary limits must meet or exceed the Contractor's bid price. If the bid amount is under $25,000, the phrase "Exempt from licensing requirement" must appear in the Tennessee License number space on the bid envelope. Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds are required as specified. No bid may be withdrawn for 120 days after the bid opening. MLGW reserves the right to reject bids, to waive minor irregularities, and to accept any bid or portion deemed most favorable to its interests. Question Deadline 01/21/2026 at 4:00 PM CT Questions about this Sealed Bid must be submitted to MLGW in writing via email to tivy@mlgw.org with Contract No. 12660 - Written Inquiry in the subject line TThis specification covers the drilled pier foundation installation for various construction projects including new substation and transmission line installations. This specification is to be used with MLGW Specification for Drilled Pier Foundation Installation (Modified ACI 336.1) dated 03/18/2005 and General Specification T161-GS-B. 1. The foundation installation shall consist of drilled pier installations ranging from 36" to 108" in diameter and depths ranging from 12' to 50'. At the time of installations, MLGW will supply all needed drawings required. 2. MLGW shall stake all structure locations, foundation centerlines, angle bisectors, and set IP's for each foundation. The Contractor will be responsible for setting the grade of the foundations and anchor bolt cages and aligning the anchor bolt cages for structure erection. 3. MLGW shall supply all reinforcing steel and anchor bolts for drilled pier foundations. Reinforcing steel shall be delivered to the job site in marked bundles according to drawings provided by MLGW. The reinforcing steel cage shall be inspected prior to installation. Ten (10) percent additional transverse ties have been procured for cage stiffening. 4. Soil borings shall be taken at the proposed locations and are to be used for a preliminary determination of drilling methods. 5. The contractor shall supply concrete for drilled pier foundations per the specifications. 6. The Contractor shall be responsible for arranging for all concrete testing per the specifications from an acceptable local testing company. 7. MLGW will assign an inspector for the job prior to the start of construction for purposes of assisting in coordinating work. 8. The Contractor shall provide its own access to all foundation locations. 9. The Contractor shall perform work in the immediate vicinity of existing transmission lines under line outages coordinated through the Contract Inspector. The Contractor may be required to allow for MLGW to re-energize these lines at the end of each work day. 10. Unit of payment for this contract shall be based on the unit price for typical foundations. If a deeper foundation is required, the additional volume of concrete shall be paid by in cubic yards(CY). 11. Spoil from the holes will be spread out in ROW or work site by contractor. If it is to be hauled off, MLGW will perform. 12. Rebar percentage shall be 0.5% to 1% 13. No permanent casing is included in this contract.
