A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work generally consists of removal and replacement of the existing fire alarm system, components, and devices as indicated on the drawings for a new voice evacuation system at Grosse Pointe North High School and Grosse Pointe South High School. The project also includes installation of new fire alarm systems, components, and devices as indicated for the new voice evacuation system, as well as removal and replacement of existing suspended ceiling tiles as required for the work. Bidders are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with the job site and conditions prior to submitting a bid. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond valued at five percent (5%) of the proposer's maximum bid amount, a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School District or the Superintendent, and a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities, or to award the contract to someone other than the low bidder at its discretion.
