Caterpillar Diesel Standby Generator Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Emergency Repair Services are required, including annual Advantage Extended Service Coverage (ESC) certification inspection, load bank testing, battery replacement, consumable parts replacement, and fluid sampling and testing services. Generators must remain operational during emergencies, with a mandatory two-hour on-site response time for emergency calls to ensure IT equipment does not lose power after battery backup depletion. Load bank testing requirements include 30 minutes at 20% of rated load and 30 minutes at 50% of rated load for each generator, performed annually. All generators are Caterpillar units and follow the same testing standards. After service completion, vendors must finalize reports and submit them to the facilities management team and the COR within 2-3 days. The scope has expanded from previous contracts to include enhanced maintenance procedures and coverage for upgraded equipment, making the contract more comprehensive and cost-effective by consolidating services previously sourced separately.
