This two-building, three-storey building requires complete interior and exterior renovation to create a purpose-built healthcare environment for integrated mental health and substance use services. Primary focus is on upgrading physical conditions, improving accessibility, and adapting the layout for clinical usage. Residential/Dormitory Building Three-storey wood-framed building, Building is approximately 10 years old, Existing sleep rooms on all three floors of the building, Majority of rooms are 1-2 person bedrooms with single or shared washrooms. Existing laundry and storage rooms, Elevator accessible for all floors, Roof accessible via operable skylight in the top floor corridor. Main/Assembly Building Building is approximately 10 years old, Three storey building that provides large open spaces, offices, classrooms, gymnasium, dining hall, and commercial kitchen. Parkade is accessible on bottom floor. Elevator accessible for all floors, Dining Hall, Kitchen, meeting rooms, classrooms, offices, gymnasium, and more. The scope of the project includes, but not limited to, renovations to areas within the two buildings including: Residential/Dormitory Building Existing sleep rooms on each floor to be modified and aligned with FHA standards for modern mental health care facility. Explore anti-ligature features to all rooms. Add mechanical/ventilation/heat/ and cooling to this building including all sleep and renovated rooms. Explore options for flooring including if the existing carpet flooring can be reused. Main/Assembly Building Explore anti-ligature features across the facility.
