Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project is a design-build effort to upgrade the AC Plants by installing three new chillers and associated cooling towers that generate significantly more heat than the previous equipment. The new systems are operated by variable frequency drive cabinets that also produce substantial heat and require dedicated cooling. Existing ventilation is inadequate, causing the upgraded equipment to shut down during peak summer loads. Improvements are required to ensure reliable operation of the cooling infrastructure, including maintaining minimum cooling capacity to the Main Hospital, which is essential for patient care. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation.
