Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lawrence, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; and laboratory facility.

The contractor shall remove, replace, and install a corridor door and a pass-through specimen window for the Laboratory at Haskell Indian Health Center in accordance with the provided drawings and statement of work. The work must comply with all technical specifications and include the use of acceptable materials as outlined in the statement of work. The contractor is required to provide a firm fixed-price quote, technical specifications, an acceptable materials list, and two relevant past performance examples, including organization name, point of contact, project summary, and award amount. A bid bond of $35,000 is required, and if the award exceeds $35,000, performance and payment bonds will apply. The period of performance is 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Location: Haskell Indian Health Center, 2415 Massachusetts Street, Lawrence, KS 66046. Questions are due no later than January 16, 2026 5:00 p.m. CST. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Estimated price range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is 100% Buy Indian owned set-aside under NAICS code 238220 with a size standard in millions of dollars $19.0. The contractor shall remove the existing Patient Specimen Restroom pass-through door currently located in the Lab Draw room. Contractor shall reuse and relocate the existing door in the corridor and install it in a new jamb with new hardware. The new location can be seen in the attached pictures and drawings in Appendix A. Contractor shall frame in and finish the wall area where the existing door is removed on both sides and in a manner that keeps the wall covering/theme as close to the existing as possible. Framing shall be of metal material. All tile work, patching, painting, texture, etc. is the responsibility of the contractor. All work shall ensure seamless integration with surrounding areas. Contractor shall install base/cove moldings that are in line with surrounding areas. Contractor shall utilize the upper half of this space to install a passthrough specimen cabinet between the Patient Restroom and Lab Draw Area. An example can be seen in Appendix A. The new door opening in the corridor will require cutting into the existing CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) block wall and adding new structure to support the new door jamb and door. Framing and appropriate header shall be of metal and ensure structural integrity. Contractor shall install a threshold at the base of the new door opening that ensures a smooth transition between the corridor and Patient Restroom. Contractor is responsible for performing a ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) and installing safety hazard mitigation. Contractor shall implement appropriate construction protection practices considering this is a medical facility. This includes but is not limited to the installation of zipper walls and poly sheeting from floor to ceiling to limit contamination to surrounding areas. Contractor shall supply all equipment, parts, labor, etc. to relocate Patient Restroom door, construct walls, add pass through specimen cabinet, add framework, etc.
