**As of January 22,2026, project was awarded to REV construction awarded amount is $10,505,721.80.** Sealed bids are requested in duplicate for the construction of Periodic Bid for Sanitary Sewer Projects-2026, specifically identified as Project No. 71-25-SP40. The project involves periodic laying of sanitary sewer in different locations under the periodic unit items, with no guarantee of work and individual projects not to exceed $250,000. The contractor is required to possess a State of Alabama Classification of (MU) Municipal & Utility or MU-(S) Specialty Construction Sewer. All proposals must include the sum of products or approximate quantities in Attachment "A," multiplied by the unit bid prices. In case of discrepancies, unit bid prices will prevail, and words will govern over figures. Proposals must be signed and accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond as required by law. The City of Huntsville will consider responsibility, experience, integrity, and past performance in determining the successful bidder. The right is reserved to reject any bid if it is determined that the bidder is not qualified to perform the work due to financial, equipment, or experience concerns. Preference will be given to Alabama resident contractors in accordance with state law. All applicable licensing and immigration compliance are required. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be eligible to submit a bid. All bid documents and pricing must be submitted as specified, including both electronic (Excel format) and hard copies, and all bids must be sealed before submittal. Delivery by any of these means must be received before 5:00 p.m. CST on the day prior to the bid opening. After 5:00 p.m. CST on the day prior to the date of the bid opening, bids must be hand delivered and presented at the bid opening. All bids received after 10:00 a.m. CST on the noted bid date will be returned unopened.
