The existing softball field backstop fence will be repaired or, alternatively, replaced. The existing paved tennis courts at Akenac Park will be removed and replaced with a full-depth court section, coated, and striped for play. Two (2) tennis courts will remain, and one (1) tennis court will be converted to four (4) pickleball courts. New footings, posts, and nets will be installed. The Base Bid court surface colors are blue and green. Alternative bids are requested for tan and green, and gray and green court surface colors. An alternate bid is provided for the Import and Placement of Topsoil should it be required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor and Material Bond in an amount of 100% of the contract amount. A Certificate of Insurance, showing proof of Workers Compensation Coverage, must also be submitted. The project will require minimum wages and salaries to meet the PA Prevailing Wage requirements.
