The work consists primarily of asphalt overlay including base repairs. Bids must be submitted using the standard forms provided by the Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond from a licensed Surety Company in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the owner as bid security. Bidders may be required to submit a current financial statement if requested by the Owner. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Required bid documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name, Certificate of Responsibility Number, company name, address, and contact information. Bids can be submitted at the specified physical location or online at the designated website. Oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or email proposals will not be considered. All interpretations of drawings and specifications must be directed to the project manager at the provided email. An acknowledged received copy of all Addenda issued by the Engineer must be included with the bid proposal. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual bid opening without Owner's consent. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. Work must comply with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations and Codes.
