The work included consists primarily of maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of existing concrete flatwork within the City’s public right-of-way and facilities. Bids must be submitted upon the standard forms furnished by the Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) as bid security. Bidders may be required to submit a current financial statement if requested by the Owner. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00). Required documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project title and Certificate of Responsibility Number. Alternatively, bids may be submitted electronically through the designated website under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered. All interpretations of drawings and specifications must be directed to the project manager at the provided email address. An acknowledged received copy of all Addenda issued must be included with the bid proposal. Work must be performed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations and Codes. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the actual bid opening without Owner’s consent.
