Renovation of a multi-residential development in Mamou, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The scope of work includes improvements to apartment units for the Mamou Housing Authority, including complete removal and replacement of HVAC systems and components. Work shall include the installation of new HVAC equipment, electrical, ductwork, controls, and all associated finishing work. The project shall also include the removal and replacement of shower doors, along with roofing repairs consisting of the removal of abandoned roof vents and the installation of new metal sheeting at these designated locations. All work shall be completed in accordance with associated Plans and Specifications. The responsible bidder is required to obtain all bonds, insurances, warranties, taxes, and other applicable items in accordance to Louisiana State Bid Law. Sealed bids must be addressed to the Mamou Housing Authority and delivered to the office at 1016 Maple Avenue, Mamou, LA, no later than 10:00 AM local time on the specified date. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Each bidder must have an active DUNS Number, as verified on www.sam.gov, prior to the beginning of construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Cashier's Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid value, made payable to the Mamou Housing Authority. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. No bidder may withdraw their bid or security within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening. All work completed in this project shall comply with Executive Order No. 11246 Equal Employment Opportunity. For bids of specific amounts detailed, licensure under R.S. 37:2150-2192 is required and the license number must be shown on the bid envelope. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the state, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. The contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Attention is called to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed, minimum wage rates, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, and all applicable laws and regulations. Minority and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to submit a bid. Required attachments and certifications must be executed and submitted with the bid proposal.
