Renovation of an educational facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to prepare and repaint all designated exterior building surfaces at Del Mar High School, including surface cleaning, scraping, patching, priming, and application of specified coatings in accordance with District standards. To bid on this project, the bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): C-33, A and/or B. The bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the contract. The bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be nonresponsive and returned unopened to the bidder. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, a cashier's check, or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Campbell Union High School District, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if awarded the contract. The contractor and all subcontractors must pay workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations and the requirements of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the total bid amount only. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this project. The bidder is required to possess a valid State of California contractor's license (C-33, A and/or B) and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid price must accompany the bid. Last Day for RFI Submittals, Substitutions January 12, 2026
