Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Lower Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work includes the rehabilitation of a vertical shaft flooded suction dry well sewage pump station in Lower Township, Cape May County, New Jersey, including the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work described in the specifications and shown in the provided drawings. The entire project must be completed within three hundred (300) days of the Notice to Proceed, with a shorter interim completion date for pump replacement, or be subject to liquidated damages of $500.00 per day. Sealed bids must be submitted in writing on the forms provided. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid, not exceeding $20,000 nor less than $500.00, is required. Bids must be accompanied by a Certificate of Surety, a Statement of Ownership Disclosure, and a Non-Collusion Affidavit, all on the forms included in the Contract Documents. Bidders must use the prepared proposal form contained in the Contract Documents, and each proposal must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Owner, marked with the contract number and project name. Successful bidders must provide a photocopy of their Certificate of Employee Information Report or the relevant AA form within seven (7) days after notification of intent to award or receipt of contract. Bonds and proof of insurance must be submitted before contract execution. Compliance is required with all relevant Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations, including affirmative action laws, ownership disclosure requirements, subcontractor information, wage rate determinations, the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, contract compliance, and affirmative action for public contracts. Public Works Contractor Registration and Business Registration Certificates are required for all contractors and subcontractors. Challenges to bid specifications must be made in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the bid opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities or irregularities. A. This set ofspecifications is intended to describe the electrical requirements for areas ofwork on this project B. The scope of work for the electrical installation shall include all labor, supervision, purchasing, storing, handling and installation of materials and other services incidental to providing of a complete and operating power, control and alarm system as shown on the drawings or otherwise specified. C. Installation of electrical work is shown on the drawing and may include electrical wiring and equipment installation in electrically classified and unclassified areas as defined by the National Electrical Code (NFPA-70). 1. Unclassified Areas: Non-hazardous indoor and outdoor. 2. Classified Area: : Sewage Wet Well (CLASS 1, DIVISION 2) A. The drawings and specifications shall be considered mutually complementary to the completion ofthe electrical installation. Items shown on the drawings and not detailed in the specifications or detailed in the specifications and not shown on the drawings shall be considered as both shown and specified 1. Sufficient detail has been made in the preparation ofthe construction documents to allow electrical contractors and equipment vendors to prepare proposals on an acceptable electrical installation. No attempt has been made to detail items of installation that are self-evident, code requirements or in other manner would compromise the electrical and instrument system operation and reliability. 2. The routing of conduits and locations of equipment are shown in locations desired for final location. Such routings and locations are subject to final modification asrequired to suit existing building or other equipment discipline conditions and proposed routings ofsuch conduit shall be submitted in writing to the ENGINEER before such changes are made. Sufficient planning to the routing of conduits by electrical contractor shall be made for approved conduit sealsto conduits and sealing ofadjacent spaces ofnon-classified area to hazardous areas. 3. The electrical contractor shall verify all conditions and make himselffamiliar with all site conditions and dimensions prior to mounting or installing equipment. 4. The contractor shall observe all necessary safety procedures as they apply to working on 480 Volt class equipment, conductors and terminations of energized and deenergized services, circuits and equipment on this project. The contractor shall follow all recognized electrical safety standards and rules concerning working in close proximity to any energized fines containing 208 Voltage and greater levels.
