The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of renovations to the restrooms on the first floor of the Public Defenders Building at 1320 NW 14th Street, Miami, FL 33125. The scope includes remodeling four toilet rooms (two men's and two women's), with the work phased to allow one pair of toilets for men and women to remain available during execution. The contractor is responsible for the removal and proper disposal of all related debris. The contractor must coordinate with County-approved subcontractors for certain trades, such as Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, test and balance, and fire alarm/sprinkler modifications. All required permits must be obtained and submitted prior to performing any work, and all work must comply with applicable Miami-Dade County codes and regulations. Site access and security are to be coordinated with the Public Defender’s facility manager, and staging areas will be designated. The full scope is per approved permit drawings. Life safety requirements must be maintained, including not blocking egress paths during building occupancy. Night and weekend work must be coordinated as required. At project close, all required documentation, warranty, equipment, and specifications must be submitted. No asbestos or mold abatement is required based on survey results. Instructions to bidders include: Prospective bidders must visit and carefully examine the site and verify all existing conditions and field measurements prior to submitting a bid. Bidders shall review approved plans and quantify devices and work required. Bids must include all costs, including debris disposal. The submission must be entirely electronic, including all required documents in a single PDF, and must be completed before the specified deadline. Required documents include bid price using the specified form, Confidentiality Affidavit, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Kidnapping, Custody Offenses, Human Trafficking and Related Offenses Affidavit, Contracting with Entities of Foreign Countries of Concern Prohibited Affidavit, bid guarantee, Schedule of Values, and, if required, disclosure of discrimination lawsuits over the past ten years. Bidders must have at least five years of experience or have completed three similar projects, with references detailing the prior scope, address, personnel, client, cost, and dates. After bid opening, additional documentation and plans may be requested. All bids must be submitted electronically via the provided bidding portal.
