The City of Pittsburgh is soliciting a vendor to provide Structured Data Cabling and installation services on an as-needed basis over the life of the contract. The requirements include: - Installation of Cat6A cabling through multiple structural barriers such as concrete, wood, plaster, and other substrates. - Installation of single mode and multimode fiber cabling through multiple structural barriers such as concrete, wood, plaster, and other substrates, with proper termination of all fiber and copper after installations. - Installation of network closet equipment, such as two post network racks, four post network racks, wall mount network equipment containment systems, and other network equipment configuration enclosures. - Installation of RJ45 patch paneling. - Installation of Fiber Optic Patch Paneling (FC, SC, ST, LC, and MT-RJ). - Installation of wiring conduit; all wiring must be shielded in appropriate conduit that fits the best situation at the time of installation and meet building code requirements. - Installation of electrical connections to network equipment when needed. - Relocation of head-in connections from the telephone pole to different external building penetration positions when required. - Installation of carpentry work and mounting (or assisting with mounting) of network equipment as directed. - Installation of patch cabling. - Installation and configuration of wire management. - Installation of specialty connectors (20A, 40A). - Installation of wireless access points. - Installation of network equipment on an as-needed basis. - Provide as-built drawing upon completion. - Demolition of old wiring, conduit, patch cabling, and other unwanted equipment replaced due to contractor upgrades.
