Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bell Gardens, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project consists of the demolition and removal of the existing playground equipment and footings, removal of existing resilient rubber and playground sand surfacing, demolition of concrete paving, demolition of storm drain/catch basin/utility connections, demolition of site furnishings, demolition of pedestrian lighting and footings, and demolition of existing park signs. Construction includes a new playground area with a new pre-fabricated restroom building, new playground equipment, new resilient rubber surfacing, new concrete play area bond beam, new concrete walkways, new site furnishings (picnic tables, bench/chair seating, waste receptacles), new drinking fountain, new site lighting, new tree and shrub plantings, new irrigation, and all other items as required to provide a completely operational facility. Question Deadline The bidder is required to submit any Requests for Information (RFIs) via email to Bernardo Iniguez, Director of Public Works/Facilities, at biniguez@bellgardens.org, with a copy to BGRFI@Bowman.com. All RFIs must be submitted no later than March 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. he Project schedule is revised as follows into the following phases for the project: Phase 1 - Procurement Phase shall be 30 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed for this phase to accomplish approvals of all project submittals along with issuance of contractor purchase orders for all items including tentative schedules for long lead items. The City is aware there are long lead times for the playground equipment and manufactured restroom. The City allow the billing of no more than 50% of the long lead items upon confirmation of items being ordered by the manufacturer to the contractor. Phase 2 - Playground Equipment Installation Phase shall be sixty (60) working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed ten (10) days prior to the anticipated delivery of the playground equipment. This phase will include are grading, drainage, concrete removals-installation, removal of proposed restroom area along preparing the site, including water, sewer and electrical stubs for the manufactured restroom, including new temporary fencing to secure the manufactured restroom site, install new concrete walks, playground equipment, park amenities, landscaping, irrigation, and all other work to complete the project less the installation of the manufactured restroom Phase 3 - Manufactured Restroom Installation shall be thirty (30) working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed five (5) working days from the anticipated delivery of the manufactured restroom. This phase will include all work to install and connect the manufactured restroom to the site with associated concrete work
