Quotes are requested to perform mowing of the buffer strip along both sides of the open channel of the Benton CD 14 public drainage ditch. The buffer strip is defined as the area having a width of 16-1/2 feet measured outward from the top edge of the ditch channel. Grasses and small brush such as willows are to be mowed to a height of less than 6 inches. The bidder is responsible for determining the most efficient means to accomplish this. Not all portions of the ditch will be mowed due to wetland restrictions or landowners mowing buffer strips themselves. Fence lines on the west side of the main profile for the last .5 miles of CD 14 and on the last .2 miles of Branch 1 do not have to be mowed on that side. The total length of ditch to be mowed is 7.34 miles. All work and any cleanup shall be completed within 21 business days after starting
