Renovation of a mixed-use development in Broadalbin, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Owner, Broadalbin-Perth Central School District, will receive sealed bids to furnish materials and labor to complete Renovations and Sitework for the District Buildings for the project's Phase 2. Each bid shall be on a stipulated sum basis. Each bid shall be on a stipulated sum basis for the following contracts: Contract No. 22 MC - Mechanical Construction Work . upon depositing the refundable sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each combined set of documents. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District. Each Bidder must deposit a Bid Security in the amount and form per the conditions provided in Instructions to Bidders. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for forty-five (45) days after the Bid Opening. Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return Bid Security prior to that date. Bids shall not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials and supplies incorporated into the Work, the Owner being exempt therefrom. The Bidders must comply with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment. The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject all Bids without explanation. Remove and Install Ceilings in Different Areas d. Middle School Tech Wing Renovation e. Auditorium Improvements f. Mechanical Improvements in Auditorium Lobby, Aux Gym, Gym 1114, and Tech Wing g. Site Improvements Around the Transformer for Tech h. Installation of New Batting Cage & Bull Pen for Softball and Baseball i. Remove and Install New Digital Sign j. Asphalt Refurbishing k. Installation of New Perimeter Fence 3. Transportation Center a. Site Improvements Around the Fueling Station and Replacement of New Fueling System. b. Remove and Install New Windows c. Fire Alarm Device Replacements d. Installation of New Bus Wash Station CONTRACT No. 22 - MECHANICAL CONTRACT (MC) REQUIREMENTS A. Unless noted otherwise - Each Prime Contractor is responsible for ALL Drawings in the set - Scope is Defined by Specification sections as noted below. B. Unless noted otherwise, the Mechanical Contract (MC) includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Division 00 (Procurement and Contracting Requirements) - All Specification sections. 2. Division 01 (General Requirements) - All Specification sections. 3. Division 03 (Concrete) - as required for work by the work of this Contract. 4. Division 06 (Wood, Plastics, and Composites) - Specification sections as required by the work of this Contract for in wall supports and blocking. 5. Division 07 (Thermal and Moisture Protection) - as required by the work of this Contract to seal and firestop HVAC related work: a. 078400 - Firestopping b. 079200 - Joint Sealants 6. Division 11 (Equipment) - as required by the work of this Contract: 7. Division 22 (Plumbing) - Specification sections as required by the work of this contract. 8. Divisions 23 (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) - All Specification sections. 9. Division 26 (Electrical) - Specification sections as required by the work of this contract. 10. Division 27 (Communications) - Specification sections as required by the work of this contract. C. Temporary facilities and controls in the Plumbing Contract (MC) include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Per Section 01 50 00 - Temporary Facilities and Controls (and applicable attachments). 2. Provide all final cleaning as it pertains to this scope of work and at the time of each phase of completion. D. The Scope of Work related to the Mechanical Contract (MC) includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The MC shall provide all HVAC installations as required at all project buildings. 2. The MC shall coordinate openings as required for their work as indicated earlier in this section for cutting and patching. Any opening outside of those parameters required by the work of this contract shall be the responsibility of the MC to provide, including any cutting, patching, and finishing. 3. If the MC finds an existing opening in the building and elects to utilize it as a new pathway they will be required to fire-safe or infill the remainder of the opening around their work at no additional cost to the owner. 4. The MC will not be required to install Breeching/ Exhaust for the Domestic Hot Water Heaters 5. The MC shall provide blocking at all locations where required for work of their contract. 6. The MC shall provide drains required for cooling coil drain pans as detailed on the Mechanical Drawings. 7. The MC shall provide, install, and connect temperature controls to District's BMS. 8. The MC will coordinate with the commissioning agent for installations of their contract. 9. The MC to provide all necessary dewatering for your work and in coordination with other primes as indicated earlier in this section.
