The scope of work includes providing all management, oversight, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install utilities in Sector 11, Area 1 of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. The subcontractor will design and install electrical, sanitary sewer, storm drain, domestic water, and communications systems, including civil and structural design for excavation, mounting, and installation of piping both above ground and underground. Work must comply with SLAC, DOE, and ES&H standards and minimize disruption to adjacent operational labs. Utility pathways require permanent markers every 25 feet, and tie-ins to existing infrastructure must be designed and implemented. Domestic water will connect to an existing 10-inch mainline and run approximately 350 feet; sewer will connect to an existing 6-inch mainline via a new manhole and run approximately 350 feet. Utilities will cross a seasonal drainage swale using an elevated utility bridge, with HDPE used for lateral water and sewer connections; PVC is prohibited above ground. Electrical work includes installing one GFP Eaton ISG-SD 15 kV class solid dielectric outdoor pad-mounted switchgear, connecting it to overhead armored cable, constructing underground concrete duct banks with two 5-inch PVC conduits, installing pull boxes, overhead RMC, grounding systems, and building electrical manholes and vaults per design drawings. Telecommunications will require three 3-inch conduits for fiber and coaxial cables. Additionally, a cemented open trench crossing North Gallery Road will be engineered for future helium line placement, including recessed steel plates for drivability and drainage installation. All work must include record drawings and coordination with SLAC personnel. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
