Work includes fabrication, delivery, installation, permitting, traffic control, warranty, and optional gateway signage. 1.2. Background The City of St. Cloud is a community of approximately 64,000 residents, covering approximately 34 square miles in Osceola County, located in Central Florida. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, supervision, fabrication, installation, engineering, permitting, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the project. A. Fabrication Requirements 1. Aluminum construction per the DID specifications 2. Powder coating or baked enamel finish (Matthew's Paint Automotive grade) 3. Anti-graffiti coatings on all exterior signage 4. Stainless streel or tamper-proof fasteners 5. Retroreflective surfaces where required 6. Typography, colors, and graphics matching the DID 7. Coordination with City branding B. Installation Requirements 1. Site verification, layout, and staking 2. Installation of posts, footers, and anchors 3. Ensure signs are plumb, level, and aligned 4. Compliance with wind-load engineering (170 miles Per Hour minimum) 5. ADA-compliant clearances 6. Restoration of disturbed surfaces and areas C. Permitting Requirements 1. Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Right of Way (ROW) permits, building permits, electrical permits 2. Contractor is responsible for all permit submittals 3. The City may waive permit fees but the Contractor must perform the permitting process
