The improvement includes new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon pedestrian signal, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk, pavement markings, and other incidental items, all in accordance with the contract documents including Plan File No. 678-411/446, located on Locust Street bridge over the Des Moines River at Principal Riverwalk, ML King Jr Parkway and Water Street at Principal Riverwalk, Evergreen Avenue at Jackson Elementary, Walker Street at East High School, E 29th Street at Goodrell Middle School, SW 14th Street at Wright Elementary School, and other locations directed by the City Engineer in Des Moines, Iowa. This project shall be fully completed not later than September 30, 2026, and in accordance with the Completion Provisions. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction. Preletting Conference. None. The City of Des Moines (Jurisdiction) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Citys Overall Annual DBE/TSB Goal for this project is 5.72%, which represents a target that the City would like to achieve in including DBE/TSB participation on City contracts; and is not a mandatory goal for this project.
