Granite City School District #9 is requesting sealed bids for the Granite City Niedringhaus School HVAC Replacement Project, Bid# 5-26. Interested companies must send a representative to a mandatory pre-bid meeting at Niedringhaus Elementary School, 2901 State St, Granite City, IL. Bid documents will be made available at the mandatory bid meeting. Sealed proposals must be submitted on or before the public bid opening at The James J Greenwald Admin. Building, 3200 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process. o Remove existing HVAC units in accordance of Illinois law o Procure and install new like-for-like high efficiency units (SEER 15) o Proposed/installed Unit weight shall not exceed 5% above existing HVAC unit weight o Reuse existing curbs on the roof, provide a curb adapter if necessary. o Install new disconnect switch and conduit to the new units Ducting and Air Distribution o Re-use existing ductwork o Test and balance all modified systems o Install smoke detectors and connect to existing fire alarm systems if required by code. o Connect new HVAC equipment to existing thermostat and/or controls. o Commission equipment and controls o Commission outside air economizer consistent with 2016 Title 24 Code requirements for ventilation (or prevailing Title 24). o As needed, install smoke detectors and connect to existing fire alarm systems as required by code.
