The County of Sacramento is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors with experience in processing and marketing residential Single-Stream Recyclables (SSR Materials). The selected contractor will process and market SSR Material generated from the County’s North Area. SSR Materials will be delivered to the contractor’s receiving facility either directly or via the County’s North Area Recovery Station. The County guarantees a minimum delivery of 5,000 tons per fiscal year. Payment for SSR Material is based on Commodity Market Value, Contractor Processing Cost, and California Redemption Value Funding. Pricing will fluctuate monthly and contractor market sharing percentages will be fixed for the term of the agreement. All submitted proposals must follow the specified format and content requirements, be submitted electronically, and comply with instructions and policies regarding confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and compliance certifications.
