Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project scope of work includes the preparation and construction of a full basketball court; pick up, transport, and installation of District-procured basketball standards. The project also includes other site related work such as demolition of concrete, clearing and grubbing, site layout and staking, rough and finish grading, temporary construction fencing, relocation of two existing concrete benches, new trash receptacle, new concrete paving and mowbands, sleeves under paving, existing irrigation system adjustments and new improvements, new drain sump, turf repair, and other minor site work. Bid Alternates: 1. Accessible Play Area Ramp and Entry - site demolition, clearing and grubbing, site layout and staking, temporary construction fencing, excavation of demolished areas to subgrade, rough and finish grading, concrete flatwork, play area curb ramp, and play area curb reconstruction. 2. Redwood Log Preparation and Install - preparation and placement of felled redwood logs, with arborist to provide salvaged logs to contractor. 3. Landscape Boulders - procurement and installation of landscape boulders. 4. Landscape and Irrigation Improvements - improvements/modifications to existing irrigation system, tree and bark mulch installation, and turf repair with seed. 5. Chemically Treat Subgrade at Basketball Court - chemically treated subgrade for basketball court asphalt paving. The work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management, superintendence, and all other work necessary to provide for the Rutter Park Basketball Court project. Bids shall be submitted on District's Bid Forms, plainly endorsed with Bidder's name and signed acknowledgment of any addenda. Bid Forms must be securely sealed and marked with the name and address of the Bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certificate of Deposit, Certified or Cashier's Check, Bidder's Bond, or Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's Grand Total Bid Price. The Bid Guaranty will be retained by District and applied to any damages sustained by District in the event the successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Agreement and furnish all required bonds and insurance certificates. District intends to award the Agreement to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder based on the Base Bid Price. District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive irregularities or informalities in any bid or the bidding procedure, and reserves the right not to award the Agreement after bid opening. Question Deadline 01/09/2026 All questions prior to award of the Agreement shall be directed to the attention of the undersigned Contract Officer via fax at 916-428-7334 or email at jcano@southgaterecandpark.net. The deadline for submissions of questions and clarifications concerning the Contract Documents is ten (10) days before the deadline for bid submission. Only signed Addenda issued by the District are binding.
