The project consists of the installation of a new wet well, three new manholes, approximately 70 linear feet of 18-inch gravity sewer, approximately 60 linear feet of 24-inch gravity sewer, new VFD’s, and a new magnetic meter. The work also includes re-piping the existing valve vault, reconnection to the existing force main, replacement of pumps, bypass pumping, and all other work as shown in the bid documents. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis. No more than 50% of the project may be completed by subcontractors, and a detailed listing of all subcontractors must be provided. Documentation that the prospective general contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications must be submitted, and subcontractors must not appear on the SAM.gov disbarment list. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or cost plus overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. The contractor must comply with the Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulations for construction and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act.
